ADVAGuard® 750 is a proprietary corrosion inhibitor developed by FMC Lithium. The inhibitor is comprised of two chemical components, ADVAGuard® 750A and ADVAGuard® 750B, which work together to prevent corrosion in absorption chillers. ADVAGuard® 750 inhibited lithium bromide solution is usually clear to dark blue, depending on the amount of dissolved copper present in the solution. York is the only manufacturer that uses ADVAGuard® 750 as an inhibitor in new machines. If you have a York chiller manufacturered after 2002, the inhibitor will be ADVAGuard® 750. Some chillers have been retrofitted with this inhibitor, so it is possible for any chiller to use this inhibitor, regardless of the manufacturer.
